Will Kelowna's Council Ban the Cannons?

Dear Sir,
I have read with interest your articles about the Farm Practices Board ruling against propane cannons in a Kelowna vineyard.

You might be interested to know that this month Abbotsford's council has decided to work towards a total ban of cannons. They will be meeting with a cititzens group named Ban the Cannons, MAFF and the Blueberry Council to work out a strategy to eliminate cannons hopefully in the next couple of years.

As I said in a presentation to council, "Every farmer has the right to farm but no farmer has the right to subject his neighbours to such continuous, intolerable and intrusive noise such as this".

Hopefully Kelowna and other municipalities will follow Abbotsford's example.
