People all over the Fraser Valley are up in arms about "Propane Cannons", and now that Ban the Cannons is raising awareness of the issue, people are sending us letters and writing letters to the editors of their local newspapers.

We started this  "Letters of Complaint"  page to show people some samples they could copy if they wanted to write a letter themselves. But we couldn't believe how many letters we found in newspapers, or were sent to us by irate cannon victims. We added over 60 letters to the site in 2002 up to the end of the blueberry season. We could have continued through to February/03 thanks to the Okanagan ice wine industry, but enough was enough!

Do you think we even saw half of all the letters that were written? I doubt it! And we wonder how many people phoned to complain about cannon noise. How large a number was that in 2002?

And how many people sat in their homes and just fumed about the noise? We will never know, but hopefully more of those people will find us next season and come out and join us and vent their frustrations.

The following is a list of the letters we received or saw printed in local newspapers.

If you wish to read the contents of a letter, simply click on the item in the list below.

We had decided not to print these because we wish to focus on our local problem, but the following letter was so poignant that we felt it deserved to be included at the top of our list. This letter should also be compulsary reading for MAFF employees, who think we "merely exaggerate", Blueberry Council BigWigs, and all blueberry farmers who don't give a hoot about their neighbours!

Sound off about pro “pain” cannons
