REFAB Inflatable

This new bird scare device is produced by a company in the UK called REFABS, and their device is known as a "reversible fan assisted bird scarer".

The device was designed and developed by pilots and other members of the aviation industry. It is aimed primarily at the offshore industry, but is sufficiently versatile to be used in shore based applications as well. One such application is agriculture.

As can be seen in the illustration on the right, the device is set up above a fan, and is designed to rapidly inflate periodically to scare birds. The device is simple to use and is build to stand very harsh environments and demanding situations, (much like BC Blueberry Growers find themselves in today!). The device would be ideal for small acreages that have ready access to electrical power.
